Find out what's really in the air inside your home.
Most of us are familiar with the dangers of outdoor air pollution. But what about the air inside my homes? Mold, pet dander, allergens, and various chemicals can build up indoors and expose your family to air conditions that are sometimes worse than what's found outside. Testing the air in your home gives you a clearer picture of what you're actually breathing and what, if anything, you should do about it.
The service focuses primarily on airborne mold spore sampling. I collect samples using spore-trap cassettes with a calibrated air sampling pump, and then submit them to an accredited environmental laboratory for analysis and identification. Once results come back, I'll provide a written report with a general interpretation of the findings so you understand what was detected and what it means.
When visible microbial growth is present, optional surface sampling can also be performed using tape-lift or swab methods to help identify the suspected growth.
A premium particulate analysis is also available as an upgrade. In addition to mold spores, this option can identify other airborne particulates in the home, which is useful if you suspect dust, fibers, or other contaminants may be affecting your indoor air quality.
Indoor air quality testing is focused and specific. It's intended to evaluate conditions related to mold and airborne particulates at the time of sampling. It is not a full environmental assessment, a medical evaluation, or an invasive investigation. If results suggest a deeper problem, I can point you toward the right next steps.
